Applying for, or changing an environmental permit
About Environmental Permits
If an industrial process operating within the area is required by law to have a Part A (2) or B permit, the operating company must make a formal application to the Council.
The application must contain detailed information on precisely what will be undertaken at the site and the effects it may have on air quality, and must be accompanied by the relevant fee.
Applications must be made on the prescribed form and must include specified information which will vary depending on the operation.
If further information is required, we will notify you and you must provide this information or the application will be deemed to be withdrawn.
The application must be from the operator of the regulated facility.
For waste operations, no licence will be granted unless any required planning permission had first been granted.
