How to pay council tax
Payment of your Council Tax can be made in a number of different ways:
Direct Debit Payments
You have a choice of four different payment dates: 1st, 10th, 18th, or 25th of the month.
Direct Debit is the method preferred by over 86% of the residents in the area as it is the cheapest and the most cost efficient way to pay. In addition to the Direct Debit Guarantee, we also guarantee that in the unlikely event of a mistake occurring, they will promptly reimburse you for any direct costs attributable to the error.
Internet Payments
Telephone Payments
You can make an automated payment over the telephone with a credit card or debit card by ringing 0345 034 8660 (calls cost no more than dialling an 01 or 02 number).
Cheque Payments
Please make cheques payable to Buckinghamshire Council, sent directly to Revenues and Benefits Service, PO Box 406, Amersham, HP6 5TB.
Instalments are due on or before the 1st of each month from April to January.
