Community Safety Partnership

Crime has many causes within our community and there is a general acceptance that a multi-agency approach is the most effective way to combat crime, disorder and the fear of crime. In light of this and legislative requirements laid down in the Crime and Disorder Act 1998, the Chiltern Community Safety Partnership was formed. Some of the organisations that we work in partnership with include:

  • Thames Valley Police
  • Buckinghamshire County Council including Public Health
  • Thames Valley Probation
  • Community Rehabilitation Company (MTCNovo)
  • Chiltern Clinical Commissioning Group
  • Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service
  • Town and Parish Councils
  • Local Community Groups (e.g. Residents' Associations, Watch Schemes, etc)
  • Voluntary Organisations

In 2014 the Chiltern Community Safety Partnership merged with the South Bucks Community Safety Partnership to form the Chiltern and South Bucks Community Safety Partnership. A joint three year Plan is produced to address the priorities that affect both the Districts.
