Cemeteries

Chiltern Buckinghamshire

Great Missenden Cemetery

Chiltern District Council is the freehold owner of Great Missenden Cemetery which is located adjacent to St Peter and St Paul's Church. The cemetery is situated on the side of Frith Hill overlooking Great Missenden village and the Misbourne Valley.

The cemetery consists of two areas, one for the interment of cremated remains where small headstones are permitted and a lawn cemetery for full interments. The Council does not own the old churchyard as this still belongs to the Church. A new lawn cemetery has been laid out on adjoining land and this has recently been brought into operation.

The day to day management of the cemetery is carried out on behalf of Chiltern District Council by Great Missenden Parish Council.
