How to get there

By Road:

M40 - leave at Junction 2, Beaconsfield (follow signs to Amersham) M25 - leave at Junction 18 (follow signs to Amersham) Main routes including the A40, A404, A41 and A355 pass through the region

By Rail:

London Underground - The Metropolitan Line runs from Aldgate and Baker Street to Amersham and Chesham (travel time from Baker Street to Amersham approx. 45mins) Chiltern Railways operate between London Marylebone, Chalfont & Latimer, Amersham and Great Missenden, and between Marylebone and Seer Green & Jordans. Services also run between Birmingham Snow Hill and High Wycombe, Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross providing easy access to the Chiltern District.

By Air:

London Heathrow and Luton Airports are within a short drive and London Gatwick is approximately 1 hours drive.

The Chiltern District offers something for the whole family to enjoy including a state of the art climbing centre at Amersham and the charming Victorian farm at the Chiltern Open Air Museum (just one of the museum's many attractions).

The District is also a shoppers delight with a collection of exquisite boutiques, bustling markets and antique emporia. For lovers of the Great Outdoors, there is an extensive variety of activities including golf, fishing, horse riding and walking, leisure centres as well as some great local food.
