Brownfield Land Register

The Town and Country Planning (Brownfield Land Register) Regulations 2017 place a responsibility on the Council to prepare and maintain a register of brownfield* sites which are: suitable, available and achievable for residential development.

The Regulations state that the Council's Register must be published by 31st December 2017.

The Council is currently in the process of preparing the Register and intends to meet the timescale set out in the Regulations.

* 'Brownfield' means - sites meeting the definition of 'Previously Developed Land' in Annex 2 of the National Planning Policy Framework.
