Chiltern District Council Community Awards 2016
Nominations are now open for Chiltern District Council's Community Awards 2016 - the chance to recognise the volunteers and community champions who do so much to enrich life in the district.
There are several award categories covering young, older, individuals, groups, schools and businesses - and it couldn't be easier to nominate.

Printed forms are available from the main reception at King George V Road, Amersham, local libraries and leisure centres.
The closing date for nominations is Saturday 13 February 2016 with the award ceremony being held on Thursday 17 March at King's Church, Raans Road, Amersham, HP6 6LX.
The award categories are:
For the group which have voluntarily contributed skills and time to the benefit of a community in Chiltern District
For an individual adult (25 - 65 years old) who has shown commitment and dedication in the giving of time, skills and enthusiasm to the benefit of a community in Chiltern District
Older and bolder award
For an individual over the age of 65 years who has made a major contribution to the community in Chiltern District through volunteering
Young volunteer award
For a young person up to the age of 25 years old who has provided time and talent to the benefit of a community in Chiltern District
School award award
To recognise outstanding work undertaken by local schools to improve the local community and/or charitable work it undertakes that supports worthy causes
Long service award
To reward those volunteers who have served a community organisation within Chiltern District for many years, at least 20 years significant service
Young carers award
The contribution made by a young person up to the age of 25 years old to support a family member in need of special care
Business in the community award
To recognise the best example of partnership between business and community groups, which has been of benefit to the community
