Community and living
Chiltern District Council works with a range of partners to enable and support local community groups to encourage social, economic and environmental development of their local community. The ultimate aim is to improve the quality of life in the area.
The partners include seven Revitalisation Groups focused on specific areas, themed groups such as: Older Peoples Action Groups or Youth Councils, in the large towns to develop community led Market Town Health Checks to review their own area and develop a community led action plan to improve it and in villages and neighbourhoods to help appraise and consult in their own area and develop a community led action plan to improve it.
