Business Rates - how to pay

Payment of business rates can be made in a number of different ways:

By Direct Debit
Payment of Direct Debit can be made by 10 instalments. You have a choice of four different payment dates: 1st, 10th, 18th, or 25th of the month. Direct Debit is the preferred method of the Council as it is the cheapest and the most cost efficient way to pay. In addition to the Direct Debit Guarantee, Chiltern District Council also guarantee that in the unlikely event of a mistake occurring, they will promptly reimburse you for any direct costs attributable to the error.

Internet Payments

By telephone
You can make an automated payment over the telephone with a credit card (1.6% charge) or debit card. Telephone payment line: 0845 305 2148.

By cheque
Please make cheques payable to Chiltern District Council, sent directly to Revenues and Benefits Service, PO Box 406, Amersham, HP6 5TB.

Instalments are due on or before the 1st of each month from April to January.
