Request a bin
Residents are issued with the following containers as standard:
- 180 litre black wheelie bin for refuse
- 240 litre blue wheelie bin for mixed recycling
- 23 litre lockable brown food waste bin
- Paper box
- Blue recycling sacks (notified properties only)
Replacement bin charges
New and replacement bins are subject to the following charges (including delivery)
Wheeled bins (mixed recycling, garden & general rubbish)
Brown food waste bin
£4.50 (if collected from Council offices)
Silver kitchen caddy
£3.50 (collection only from Council offices, if stock available)
Blue recycling sacks (notified properties only)
£5.50 per bag
Bins for new residents
If you have moved into a new build property and require a bin, contact the developer or your landlord who will order one from us.
If your property has been previously occupied, residents should ensure that containers were left by the previous occupants. Replacement containers are subject to the outlined charges.
Request a smaller or larger bin
Smaller or larger sized wheeled bins are available upon request.
Residents can request a smaller 140-litre bin by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Families of 6 or more, or those with 2 children in nappies, can request a larger 360-litre general rubbish bin.

We will consider all requests for additional recycling capacity. Download and complete the
Requests for a smaller or larger bin are subject to a £7 delivery charge. If your request is successful, we will contact you to request payment.
We will attempt to repair damaged bins and boxes. The damaged bin or box must be presented so that we can attempt to repair the bin or box. If we are unable to repair the bin or box, we will replace it. If your bin has been damaged but is repairable, please email email@example.com

We aim to deliver bins within 14 working days of processing your request. You do not need to be home, as we will try to leave the bin in a secure place wherever possible.
