Help if you need assistance - If you are unable to conduct a telephone interview or unsure if you are receiving the benefits that you are entitled to. Chiltern District Council have a Welfare Officer who will visit you at your home to complete a claim form and provide advice and information on other benefits that you may be entitled to.

In 2008 Chiltern District Council and South Bucks District Council formed a Welfare Partnership to promote benefit take up and assist residents who have difficulty in applying for benefits.
The Welfare Officer is based at Chiltern District Council and provides the Welfare Service to both Councils.
The Welfare Officer carries out benefit take up surgeries in both areas promoting Housing/Council Tax Benefit and other Social Security Benefits and works closely with Age Concern, CAB, Pension Service, Bucks Welfare Benefits and many other support agencies. In the financial year 2008/2009 over 220 residents have been successful in obtaining benefits with assistance from the Welfare Officer.
