32 Chiltern community groups awarded funding boost

A total of 32 Chiltern community organisations are to benefit from funding awards from the District Council. Sums awarded vary from £1800 to £226.

The Council gives out Community Grant Aid each year, helping a diverse range of local voluntary organisations deliver services and facilities for local residents. The fund this year was £32,584 which included contributions from the Community Safety team and the Communities budget.

Organisations bidding for funding have to demonstrate that they make a meaningful contribution to local life, helping residents connect with others, be active, learn new skills and give through volunteering.

Local voluntary and charitable good causes stand to benefit from additional source of funding soon with the launch of the Chiltern and South Bucks Lottery. Tickets for this new venture go on sale on 24 October and the first draw will be on 25 November. People can choose which charities they want to support with 60p in every pound ticket benefitting local good causes. There's a weekly jackpot of £25,000, as well as other cash wins on offer - and it's all in a good cause!"

Good causes can sign up to join the lottery via the Chiltern District Council website: https://www.chilternsouthbuckslottery.co.uk/
Tickets will be available from 24 October on the same link
