Recycling centres in Chiltern

We have over 45 recycling centres in Chiltern where you can recycle your cans and plastics, foil, textiles and your extra paper / card and glass. Foil can now be placed in the container with cans and plastic bottles. See below for your closest recycling centre and what can be recycled.

There are two Household Waste and Recycling Centres (HWRC's) in Chiltern where you can recycle much more. They can be found at

• London Road East, Amersham, HP7 9DT
• Latimer Road, Chesham, HP5 1TL

Opening hours

1 October to 31 March, 9am - 5pm
All sites are open 7 days a week, except for 25 December, 26 December and 1 January.

From Monday April 1 they will open from 9am to 6pm. 

Revised opening times affect centres at Amersham, Aston Clinton, Aylesbury, Beaconsfield, Bledlow Ridge, Buckingham, Burnham, Chesham, High Wycombe, and Langley.

Our recycling bins are emptied on a regular basis:

• Plastic bottles/Cans/Foil - Mondays and Fridays
• Glass  - Large glass banks are emptied on Mondays 
               - Small glass banks are emptied on Thursdays
• Paper  - Large paper banks are emptied on Tuesdays and Fridays 
               - Small paper banks are emptied on Mondays and Fridays

Please do not leave anything outside of the bins. This is flytipping and you could be prosecuted
