Apprenticeships work!

We are pleased to promote the "100 Apprenticeships in 100 Days" campaign recently launched by our partner, Bucks Business First.

This campaign challenges employers in Buckinghamshire to pledge to create 100 apprenticeships in 100 days.  Whether your business is large or small, you can help by signing up to the 100 apprenticeships in 100 days campaign and pledging to employ an apprentice during 2012.  Once you've pledged, Bucks Business First will contact you and offer support to ensure the recruitment process is as simple and straightforward as possible.

Cllr Nick Rose, Leader of Chiltern District Council said: "I fully support this initiative as apprentices make a real difference. It's a great opportunity for young people to gain work experience which can only benefit them in their future careers. Local businesses gain from the skills the apprentices bring and by knowing they are helping develop the skills of young people during a time of economic recession."

Apprenticeships have clear benefits for businesses, young people and the wider community. By taking on an apprentice, employers are helping to support youth employment in the county while ensuring their businesses have the skills they need to survive and thrive.

If you'd like further information about recruiting an apprentice or would like to pledge to create an apprenticeship opportunity, please sign up to the campaign today.
