Energy efficient products and services save you money. Simply by investing in a range of products, an average household can make savings of up to £200 per year. A saving that will continue year after year.
- Improved energy efficiency in the home not only results in a warmer home at a lower cost but also:
- helps reduce the incidence of mould growth on walls, furnishing and clothing stored in damp, cold and poorly ventilated homes
- helps reduce the incidence of respiratory illness often caused by living in cold, damp homes.
- helps reduce the production of carbon dioxide and therefore benefits the environment.
Chiltern District Council is committed to helping local householders to save energy, save money and benefit from warmer homes.
The Council has devised an action plan to encourage a better awareness of energy efficiency across the District. (the timescale for us to meet the targets within the original ten year action plan has been extended to 2010). The main aim of the plan is to make energy saving easy and affordable and to reduce the devastating environmental effects of carbon dioxide, a major greenhouse gas.
