Car Alarms
A faulty car alarm can be a real source of annoyance to nearby residents. To avoid problems ensure that your car alarm is in good working order, and fitted with a 5 minute cut-out device. Ensure that all doors windows and sunroof are shut properly to stop accidentally setting the alarm off.
When a complaint is received and a statutory nuisance is established, we will make reasonable enquiries to contact the owner of the vehicle. If this is not possible the alarm will be disabled and the associated costs will be recovered from the registered keeper of the vehicle. If it is not possible to re-secure the vehicle, the vehicle may be towed to a secure depot for collection by the owner.
